Having read Berlin Game/Mexico Set/London Match late last year and early this year, started the next works in Len Deighton's Bernard Samson's series. Finished Spy Hook about a month ago and now just wrapped up Spy Line last night.

Will admit to being a little confused as to why they pursued Bernard so hard at the end of the first book. It seems more like at that point they just had to bring him in and tell him the truth vice going through all that drama.

Also a bit confused by the death of the guy who thought he won the stamp at the auction early in Spy Line - I almost read that as it was meant for Bernard (ie kill the guy who wins the stamp).

But I continue to like his writing, Samson's wit, the portrait of Berlin.

Can't wait to see how it gets wrapped up in Spy have to go find a copy.
