I am having the hardest time starting up a SEP IRA for myself. The banks that I go to constantly tell me that the can only help me if I do it with Mutual Fund Company. When I stress that I would like complete control over my stocks and would like to make my on Mutual Fund they seem perplexed. "That's unwise. The experts have been doing this for years. Plus they have charts and graphs and reports." I tell them I do also through the Motley Fools."What's that? Oh, those guys, they don't know what the're talking about." One bank even hinted they could get me to trade on-line for a mere $29 dollars a share. Can someone suggest where I might go to start my SEP plan.
Can someone suggest where I might go to start my SEP plan.Just about any on-line broker will let you set up a SEP IRA. I use www.mydiscount.broker and www.scottrade.comNeither have minimums to open it and you can buy and sell stocks 'til the cows come home....or you hit 59 l/2, which ever comes first :)Anna
I have mine through Ameritrade. You might want to check them out.
