Still that works out to 332.20 per credit hour, which IMHO is outrageous. Unless there is some sort of great reputation that school has, there are many better bargains on tuition that can provide a degree that will be just as marketable.

If Dean is talking about the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, they are a *fantastic* research university in Mechanical and other forms of engineering. Famous, famous, famous and very respected. I can't speak about their other schools, but their engineering is very well known to engineers.
