I picked Pepsico Inc. (PEP) While Pepsi has a Beta lower than and will not fluctuate as easily on the market, it does have 2.92% dividend which is one of the higher ones I have seen.

My question: is it better to have stocks they pay dividends that are a steady incur, or should one prefer to have more volatile stocks that can fluctuate and incur more drastic amounts of value at a certain point?
