Strangely enough, I just got this book out of the library. One thing I like about Dawkins is that after you read his stuff at all critically, you understand just how weak the argument for Darwinism actually is.

I became a confirmed anti-Darwinist after reading the first chapter of The Blind Watchmaker and found that Dawkins considered his ability to draw amusing stick figures on his computer to be convincing evidence for Darwinism.

And I love the way you read chapter one, take an evocative analogy, blow it out of proportion to conflate it as "convincing evidence" for the real thing, and use that to dismiss the rest of the book. It's a beautiful straw man you've constructed.
