I have only just come across this board, I was told about it by another user.
What a cool place.

I thought I'd tell you about the area I live in in Boston, it is a very affluent area and there is lots of cash. Not in my pocket yet though, I rent out a cheap room in shared apartment.

But, the great thing about this area is garbage day, the stuff people throw out here is amazing.
So far I have seen items such as VCRs, T.V.s, Sofas, chairs, AC units, the list goes on.
I havent learnt my lesson though, if you see something decent, take it home straight away, cos when you come back it will be gone.

So far I have salvaged a video that is in perfect working order, it just lacks a remote but I am thinking a universal remote will overcome that problem. The chair I am sitting on is salvaged, and finally a computer monitor but I still haven't checked if it works yet.

As the evenings get longer and warmer, I can see myself prowling the streets on garbage day.
My friend think I'm a freak, honestly they do, but I have a good video and chair that I didnt pay for, I suppose that is freaky!!!
