I consider "The Elements of Style" the go-to reference for clear and correct writing. Some people have challenged it lately, and want to overrule it. My feeling is that we either have a standard or we don't, and I stick by Strunk's book. What think ye?

As a standard for how everyone should write, The Elements of Style fails... on the fourth word of the title.

"Style", inherently, states that different people will do it differently.
