I've always liked thought and logic games....not that I'm particularly good at them, but I do enjoy playing them.

I've always seen SUDOKU as a game at the end of a couple of magazines I get and occasionally in a newspaper with the solution to the last one, kind of like cross-words. I've poked around at them but never really paid much attention.

Then we had a family get together over the holiday and my daughter, a high school science teacher, showed me her SUDOKU game on her IPAD and explained to me how addictive this game is and how she thought it was a number game I'd like. Ok....I'll take that as a challenge.

So here I am a few weeks later....addicted! I ordered the board game version as I found the paper version too messy with all the erasing I had to do. The board version I got is made by Wood Expressions, and I have wiled away more hours on this than I'll admit to.

The little flyer that comes with the game has about 8 beginning boards that are rated 'easy', 8 that are rated "Medium" and 8 that are rated "Difficult". The Easy and Mediums I can generally solve....but there are some Difficults I simply cannot get and I question whether they are solvable without luck through trial and error. Anyone else experience this?
