Earlier in the day they're calling for 3 to 5 inches of snow.

***************************************************************

we supposedly have a winter storm warning - starting at 6PM tonight. Might get up to
the mid-Atlantic region by then. However, the temperature has yet to drop to 40 here
and the odds of any large accumulation round these parts is not high - unless you are
high in the mountains.

Howie52
Storms sometimes get to the coast and run up - dropping snow east or west of I95.
Regardless, have a good game day.

Seems I was wrong. The temperature has dropped to 34 and snow has started to fall.
Grass is snow covered but the driveway is still clear. We may get a few inches by morning.

I will PERSONALLY GUARANTEE that it will not snow in Tampa, Raymond James Stadium, nor ANYWHERE in the Sunshine State!

The orange groves are heard to give a sigh of relief.

Howie52
The snow here must have stopped soon after I looked outside last night as there was
little more than a skiff of snow this morning and not the couple of inches I thought
might be possible. Up in the mountains there would be more but here in the foothills
we were more fortunate.

There's a coating on the grass and slush on the paved surfaces. The main concern here is overnight tonight.

AC *supposed to get really cold*

Some folks say the Weather Channel exists because there is always a threat of worse
weather tomorrow combined with the inherit thankfulness that your locality is not
being headlined today.

Good news is the sun came out it got up to around 40°F and things started melting. Most of the snow is gone and water is flowing down the storm drains at a steady pace.

AC *things are looking better for tomorrow morning*

Team sports are never about one person.
Broadcasts and sporting news reporting are typically all about one person.

Howie52
Other than possibly Howard Cosell and Chris Economaki, I suspect that most national sports
broadcasters have never been capable of thinking about more than one person, place or thing
at a time.

I'd have to disagree. Especially when you consider Brady, Vick, Rose (yes, sunray I said Rose), Cobb, A-Rod, Bonds... All of them consider themselves above everyone else and the 'rules' don't apply to them. Not exactly a team attitude. I'd include Johnny Manziel but his behavior kind of cut him off before he could be successful. ;0)
