I prepaid for my very own copy of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" from my local indy bookstore -- 20% off! -- and am on my way out the door to walk downtown to get it. Do not disturb me tonight, I'm going to Hogwarts.

I just got back from Books A Million. They had about 5 copies left and I picked up one for myself and my boys. $17.99 is not bad for a book that's listed at $29.99.

Uhura,

I'm on Chapter Twenty-Five.

Fudge is George W. Bush and Umbridge is John Ashcroft.

It's too good a parallel not to mention.

I'm on Chapter 14 and figured that out already. I'm also thinking Lucius Malfoy is the oil cartel.

This may say a lot about my personality, but I thought the actor in Chamber of Secrets who played Malfoy Sr. was hot in a scary, dangerous, somewhat psychotic kind of way.

The whole cartel? Nah, that would be the Death Eaters.

Lucious is Cheney. Bellatrix is Counter. <G>

Am I good, or what?

LOL.

Don't worry, Uhura. So did every other woman with blood in her veins.

You are reading my mind!! I wondered if Rowlings was influenced by the Republicans stealing the election and booting out the Democrats to wreak havoc on the world. And the Supreme Court is the Ministry of Magic?
