I was hoping for suggestions about tail risk strategies.
Seems a timely topic as a new year approaches and a lot of change is being anticipated, at least in the U.S.
(Please let's keep any discussion non-political.)

I bought some OTM SPY puts for a pop if there are sudden and significant market declines.
I view this as a tail risk strategy as opposed to a hedge.
I'm already hedged (to some degree) against more gradual market declines because I use 'dual momentum' a fair amount.
But ideas on hedges (against general market declines) in addition to tail risk strategies (against sudden deep declines) seems fair game as well.
