Bought Xicor, on a broker's recommendation in 4/97 for $6+, watched it drop to sub $2, at which point I figured it was so low it may as well be left alone till it recovered. Ditched the broker, though, for poor picks and other reasons. Now Xicor is suddenly $23, apparently on little news. Has this become a daytrader favorite, in which case this price move is just random, or is this a takeover target? Are there fundamental reasons to hold? It is in an IRA.
