The Great State Of Louisiana doles out $2,857 per capita in industrial tax abatements (national average is $281 per capita) which means there's a lot less money available to support education, health care, police & fire, etc. If you could tax cut your way to wealth and health, Louisiana would be as rich as Dubai and it's children would be getting the high quality public education you see in states like Massachusetts and New Jersey.

Instead Louisiana regularly competes with Mississippi, Alabama and West Virginia for the title of "unhealthiest place in America".
