I recently entered into a contract with a logger for the sale of timber off our land (the land is part of our homestead and at this point is not treated as income producing property).
After searching the IRS site and reading up on timber sales I have a headache.
Does anyone have any expertise that would be helpful? I need to be able to estimate the tax consequences for withholding purposes.
