I'm not someone who worries about every basis point but TD Ameritrade pays very little interest (from 0.07% to 0.5% depending on the balance, the top rate is only with $1M+). I guess most banks pay very little so maybe it isn't a big deal.

Right now I have a decent amount of cash due to reducing positions and doing some planning for a retirement within 4 years. Any suggestions as to how to get some extra interest with minimal risk?

I guess I can check and see what the fees are if I want to buy a CD through TD Ameritrade.
