Teachers and kids will essentially share in excitement of this event, and use of whatever supplies and books Elves provide. Possibilities for the latter are huge, if not infinite, but...

For $460.00, each teacher could be given a $20.00 B&N or Borders (or whomever you have in town) gift card "from the kids," meant to be used by the teachers for themselves (for book or CD or "stuff") -- which I think would please the kids, and be a nice sort of appreciation to the teachers.

$460 is a lot of money. How about having a "Teachers Appreciation Breakfast" instead? Uncle Jeffy could get a lot of stuff at Dunkin Donuts (coffee, donuts, muffins, bagels) for less than $100 and it'd still be a nice treat for the teachers.
