tele…Judges don't have to think 'outside the box’.

As humans we seek consistency, in the rules we live by and in other things, it’s in our DNA.

Imagine a plane crash in a remote place where the survivors hole up in the wreckage waiting to be rescued. When no one finds them and they are on the verge of starving, they decide to make their own way for help. They find a locked cabin and in desperation they break in and eat some of the food inside.

In a one size fits all legal world, they would do a couple of semesters for breaking in and stealing. Is this justice? There are few laws that don’t have exceptions. I’m not very knowledgable about legal matters, but there is a thing called “The greater good defense,” that should prevail in this case. One size fits all can be injustice.
