thanks for your advice--

i have the emergency fund, but i don't have the 401k

i am strongly considering opening a roth ira and maxing it out in an index fund like vanguard

and then putting whatever extra i have into paying down my loans

i think that your advice helped

still, it's just such a stigma for me to be that deep in debt

i would feel much more in control if i wasn't in debt

does anyone have any thoughts on this?
