Your penance is to stop dancing around and tell us what TaxAct thinks you're doing wrong. There never was a question as to whether you could make SEP contributions. My impression was that the issue was the $$ limit.

Your limit is 20% of (Schedule C bottom line - line 27 of the 1040). That limit hasn't changed in my memory. If you haven't been going over that limit you don't have a problem. If you have been going over it you have a problem whether the IRS has caught up with you or not.
