Thank you for the information, certainly something to think about. I have done the calculations about what my IRA withdraws would be if I had to do that. Can't find the calculator now, only ones to calculate early withdraw with penalty. I don't anticipate early withdraw but, never know what life will throw at you.

Another possibility is selling the rental house and buying something outright, maybe with a little more added to it. I'm contacting my daughter's trusted RE agent next week to see what's out there. If I could buy something small (really don't need a 3-bedroom/2-story house) without a mortgage, that may be the best thing to do.
