thank you for trying to correct my analysis, i used THE RAW DATA FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO GRADUATE SCHOOL (CRSP) which was given to me by a student of Dr. Shiller. you are referring to the real data (adjusted for inflation) that was made available on the HARVARD web site for his last book.

if you don't believe that analysis then do it yourself. as i said before, it doesn't matter whether eps for the DOW was positive this or negative that in 1932 in my analysis - only the DIRECTION of the earnings was used.

look, i am not perfect but jeez, i'm not THAT sloppy.
