Thank's all for posting your ideas and experiences. Just a bit of background, at the moment I only invest in 401K and Roth IRA to the maximum allowed. So I pay nothing on dividends recieved, they just get reinvested. I understand that dividends are not guaranteed returns, they can be reduced, cut, or completely elimated. But, as a portion of my investing strategy(IRA), I would like to have big companies with long track records(GE, Coke, AT&T, Ford, etc...) and dividends. As for the 401K, it's invested very aggresively within the plan(Have 45 years minimum to retirement). Now, another question is, can I find somewhere that list all companies with dividends in the same place, so I can compare apples to apples?
