Thanks Charlie for such a quick response. Good luck fishing.

I actually have never used Etrade for anything. So I have always found your detailed threads on their platform/trading efficiencies to be very helpful. Right now I have Fidelity and ML direct. A buddy of mine is utilizing interactivebrokers for futures contracts, but last week I had dinner with thim and unleashed a bunch of questions and he was able to look into them and give me some insights into their particular mechanics of how bonds work with them.

The essence of my curiosity was answered by you, which was that Etrade & interactivebrokers are networked to a slightly different group of dealers. This is very very interesting because I am always fascintated with communication networks and how they work in conjunction with one another and whether or not everyone can see the same data/information at the same time. So on any given day, you could get a better or worse price; maybe more so if you are selling and or fishing for a bid? It sounds like interactivebrokers gives you a bit more instant gratification than say Etrade. But it is relative perhaps.
