I took your advice and read the instructions to the PA-40 form and saw no reference to the word wash sales. Nor did I see any references to a "publication" or other detailed discussion on reporting capital gains, like the IRS has.

I'm coming to the point of view that TT is right. I'll just have to see if they get it right when I unwind the position (probably next year). My suspicion is that they just pick up the basis from the brokerage firm, who only reports the Federal basis.

I made a note to myself in my calendar for next year.
