From the work that I have done, it appears that the "media" use shares outstanding in their communication, not diluted shares. Is that correct? As an example, the fool's website says sales/share are 23.21. The TTM sales are 895 million so the math says the outstanding shares are 38.56 million. The most recent report says the shares outstanding are 38.52 million and the diluted shares are 42.14 million.

If that is the case, the P/S and P/E etc... will appear to get worse ion the media reporting after the conversion, agreed?
