Thanks to all for the analysis. I'm such a slackard. Having read about DATA on this board, I am intrigued and see much potential for a user friendly method of interpreting such mountains of data as are now available. But I think there remains a problem for the slackard: one must do the pick and shovel work of determining which data sources to to mine from the mountain and to understand the fundamental rules and assumptions behind the data. In other words, GIGO. This is not so much a problem for the professional in a narrow field who would be expected to know what the data represent and has understanding of the accuracy of the sources. But as a substitution for the spreadsheet for use on "everyman's" laptop, I think it might be a limitation for its usefulness.
I suppose (sigh) that the answer to my question is discoverable by my using the product. If only I had a data analysis tool to present an optimum prioritization of my "to do" list....
