That is true. He got top money last time. However, we currently have about $9M in cap space. Unless Gronk retires I just don't see us having the money for Gostkowski (or Ryan Allen for that matter) and whoever we happen to draft (because presumably they count against the cap space too). The numbers are getting very tight. Sure there are no-names to dump but a lot of them are already below $1M. It's a crazy tight game this year.

My guess is both kickers are waiting to see what happens with Gronk before signing new contracts. The money available changes considerably if he retires. He's $12M this year.
