Just finished "Running Money" by Andy Kessler.
It is about running the hedge fund that he and a partner
ran in the late 90's. It is a fun read and has cured me
of wanting to run a hedge fund. The reason is the travel.
You have to go visit the company and see what it is they
do. (And watch if the CFO closes his door when he talks to
you, that is a "Don't buy" signal.)

Interestingly enough Kessler and his partner started cashing
their investors out in the run up to 2000 and ended up with
their investors getting their money back about 6 fold and
not having horrorific losses during the bust.
