That's true shellbackers, I wasn't aware that Amazon had a stake in LivingSocial - that does explain it. Thanks for clarifying!

BTW, personally I did not join LivingSocial, but that was my first real exposure to the potential explosive power of social coupons, and social commerce in general. My husband is the real coupon clipper in the family, so I let him look for the coupons generally. But this one case showed me how powerful a good coupon and a wide network can be when leveraging each other.
