Here is the problem - you have ostensible "scientists" who in fact have an agenda. They publish information which is demonstrably... let's be kind and say it is "incomplete". They then condemn anyone who disagrees. Anyone who calls for more research is labelled "Denialist". Why? Because this is just too important.
Just exactly who, then, is killing the messenger?

Those of us who actually read The Boy Who Cried Wolf are not surprised that people begin to doubt. And how do alarmists respond? They double down, dragging out emotionally loaded terms like "boogeyman".

I'm going to suggest that this blame-the-victim approach is tactically unwise.
