The company issuing the annuity should help you - surely they have an 800 number.

I don't know details either but, if possible, some of the money should probably be moved. And, as any Fool can tell you, check the advisor carefully, her/his company, etc.

I removed my mother's trust account from a bank when she was 75. She was terrified but didn't want to distrust me. The bank had reduced the account by half in about 13 years, I (with help and antacids) brought it back and then doubled it in 12 years.

Maybe you can find Fools in your mother's area to help her.
