What does everyone think about the effect cable networks like CNBC have on potential Fool's (or Fools) investing attitudes? TV shows on CNBC feature several analysis who have been calling for a long bear market since the stone ages (which might make one afraid to invest in the market at all or bail out of currently held positions). CNBC also doesn't encourage LTBH investing. When's the last time you heard a CNBC analyst say "this stock will perform well for the next 20 years"? No, they discuss what the stock is going to do in the next two months. What's everyone's take on this? (feel free to call me crazy if you want).
