My YTD loss on a 40/60, bonds/cash portfolio is now 40 bps.
I had a few corporates but they either matured (GE) or got called (Alcoa). Otherwise, as a Harry Browne's Permanent Portfolio fan, the FI portion is in a UST barbell: half 30-yr and half bills/CD's/savings bonds. Naturally, a very strong return in last 12 months, YTD, etc. Couldn't believe that YTM on the 30 yr was at 0.75% at one point. I think early March. That didn't last long but I remember seeing that during late hours trading. Probably in the futures market, coming out of a crazy weekend filled with a load of bad news re: the virus. In this market... we may see that again and perhaps lower. Unreal.
