The intangibles –I would be working from home again is both a plus and a minus. It would mean a whole new learning avenue in terms of a new product and entry into the health care field. Huge opportunity there.

A couple things come to mind when reading this.

You said you can save $3k/year since your kids won't need their afterschool programs. Can you work efficiently with the kids around? Return calls, sit in on telecons, go in for face-to-face meetings when necessary?

They said they will be grooming you for another position. While this is good to hear, suppose it doesn't pan out? How would you feel about your future @ the new company now?
Also, you will be new to the company, new to the field, and working from home. How will you get to know your co-workers, learn the company culture/politics, learn a new field & customers, and get groomed for a higher position all from a remote site? It sounds like you have experience working from home, so perhaps these issues are all trivial tor you
