The lady that called the TV stations on me and the Department of State actually was committing libel according to my attorney. Problem about sueing her was:
- She had no money
- There were serious problems with shoddy builders in her area and a jury wouldn't be too sympathetic to me in that area
- It would cost me a bloody fortune dealing with what my mom called a "crank".

I hear you. To protect your reputation you might make sure the TV station(s) air a correction to any stories they might have aired.

In fact you might be able to make some lemonade out of this lemon buy offering to do a "How to avoid having this happen to you" interview with them so they can camouflage their retraction in the new story. They'd probably be more ameanable to that.

If not and they continue to pick on you remind your mom the TV stations ain't broke.
