The long term lease for Kirk Cousins is almost up.

Keenum has played well this year. However, if Bridgewater is healthy and his level of play approaches the pre-injury status, the Vikes have to hitch their wagon to him before Keenum turns back into a pumpkin.

I get that it takes some players longer than others to develop. But Keenum is not a long term solution but a bridge to the next guy. He still might have a decent career ahead of him. When it comes to age and talent, Bridgewater wins.

Keenum will be a be a spot starter in this league for a while to come like Damon Huard and Doug Flutie were for years. At this point he may be the most talented backup in the league. But long term starter... just don't see it.
