The name is Chuck Palahniuk. At one time of or another I have read almost all of his books. In summary he is irreverent, no holds barred, off the wall. One of my favorites

I liken him most to Tom Robins (Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, Still Life With a Woodpecker) with a less mysticism.

Both are worth a read to page 50 to see if you click with the style

Just got into Salman Rushdie now that the fatwa has been lifter and Lizzy made him a Sir. Started with the obvious Satanic Verses, not what I expected but I can see why it got under the Ayatollahs skin. Going to read more. Again off the wall, funny with historical significance, actually a learning experience as well as funny
