The only thing I streamed on Peacock was Biles' return to competition on the Beam. I woke up at 4:45am, got the stream up by 5am and went back to sleep at 5:40am.

But I found a lot of inspiring stories to carry me forward, from the Italian and Quatari athletes sharing gold instead of a jump-off, success in the pool, success on the courts, both expected and unexpected victories in track & field, and even surfing.

There was the US Volleyball team that won gold despite losing a star teammate early in the competition. Or Allyson Felix and Katie Ledeckie becoming the winningest Americans in the pool and on the track. Or the US Gymnastics team stepping up after their leader is forced to step back due to the Twisties (a term he had not heard before).

I did watch some Javelin, though honestly I was more interested in the AI-driven retrieval bots than the competition itself! I didn't really look for specific sports but throughout the afternoon would watch whatever was being featured on NBC, USA or NBCSN. I had a lot going on in the evenings, so I would usually record the prime time and late night coverage and watch them on DVR delay.

I consumed a lot of Olympics at the cost of a lot of sleep.

Who did miss out on some events, but he's still got a couple days of competition recorded and he plans to watch it without time pressure through the rest of the week...
