The only thing that has been consistent is the masks are said to reduce the spread
if worn by folks who have the virus. Masks do not all maintain even the N95 standard.
But a lot of folks are comforted by wearing masks. So, you figure that not all the folks
who go around wearing masks actually have the virus. Death rates are low enough that the
virus is comparable to the flu - even if the rates were higher before the summer months.
Obviously, the "summer respite" does not appear to have occurred.

We are in a "hot spot" in SC, but they powers that be say that testing is not required
anymore before you have a voluntary medical procedure or surgery.

The messaging from all the medical professionals and groups is all over the map. Not surprising
in the least that different folks have different levels of concern about the disease.

The ignorance level is being maintained quite effectively by the media and the medical profession.
