The other drink that is noticably different here is Dubonnet. It is one weak-ass drink in America, made in Kentucky and a favorite of nobody. Nothing like its taste in France.
There is another fortified wine popular in France as an aperitif whose name I cannot for the life of me remember, which is is even more pleasing than Lillet almost as rare as hen's teeth here. Does anything come to to mind, jps?
