The difference between science and ID is basic. ID starts with the premise all things are created by god and then seek to prove it without questioning the idea behind the premise. Is there a god? Can the existence of god be proven or disproven? These are questions many of us have settled in our minds all ready one way or the other. ID assumes god to be a truth that doesn't require proof and all other data relates to that ultimate but, to my thinking, shaky basis. All ID efforts rise and fall on that single basic issue. Proving god exists by offering that which is or exists, is a logical fallacy.

For science, a creator is irrelevant. You take what exists and follow what is discovered where ever that leads. You make conjectures or hypotheses to direct the question, but your assumptions are always open to question, evaluation, and failure. ID cannot allow question, evaluation, or failure of its basic assumption or the issue collapses on itself.
