The purpose of governmental regulation is to ensure an even playing field between businesses and consumers and between competing businesses. Net Neutrality brought that to the internet space. And while the ISPs say they won't abuse their newfound power, there will be nothing stopping and the drive to grow revenue. They will start in on the edges of acceptance and see how much they can get away with and before you know it, you will be picking internet providers based on the content they allow you to access.

So which ISP will The Motley Fool be paying for its Internet service? And which search engine will they pay so I can even find The Motley Fool in the first place?
