The Taking. The first time I read this one, I was slightly disappointed. Seemed like an old story with a new twist. A fews year back, I found myself a little bored, and reread this one; I discovered some interesting aspects about this story. I still remember feeling overwhelmed by some of the emotional baggage that some of the characters carried around, but I believe this could be a great movie. I will probably read again in the near future, now that I am thinking about it.

I enjoyed "The Taking". I don't mind when his books veer off onto religious overtones, and this book was quite the apocolyptic page turner. I could see it being turned into a movie, though the subject matter is a bit of a downer.
