The two, and the ONLY two that I think the public at large recognize readily are, of course, Notre Dame's school song. And the other, On Wisconsin for the Univ of Wisconsin. My middle school (in Texas) used it as a fight song (with our own lyrics).

The Notre Dame and UofM are invariably the top two on college football fight song lists, which one is #1 is hotly debated. Oddly enough "On Wisconsin" wasn't even on that "top 15" list I posted, though it should be (my high school's fight song was to the tune of "On Wisconsin" for example.)

I know a few people who went to school in Texas but came up to UofM for college. One girl grew up in San Antonio and her high school's fight song was based on "The Victors". So while I'd agree that my personal familiarity with the song comes from growing up a Michigan fan there is plenty of evidence that the song is well known nationwide (worldwide in fact.) Even in Texas it's used for high school fight songs, probably true I every state if the nation.
