The ugly part of all this is their prioritizing when downsizing.

I'm all for the early buyouts. While it's sad, it still gives the worker an OPTIONAL and diginified exit.

But at GM for instance...they did all the buyout stuff. But you'd be surprised at what kind of muffin-heads got, or kept cushy executive positions. We're not talking senior VP levels, but perhaps a level under that. The 'buddy system' still prevails, and people still owe favors to each other.

If someone even taped one of these 'execs' and put em on YouTube, you'd see a shareholder riot.
