The ususal advice for former employer 401k plans is to roll it over to an IRA, but, not for the reason of diversity. Generally, you can have more investing options and lower expenses in an IRA. But, I suspect that your thought was to roll it into your 403b. I guess the answer to that lies with how well you like the 403b plan. Look at expenses, investment choices, interface, etc.
