Bill Miller wasn't that far off: oil price indeed peaked in July 2006.

Merrill Lynch's call for correction was correct, too: the summer was indeed rough, especially for NASDAQ and emerging markets.

Whoever wrote the article is an idiot.

THE REALITY: Through October, the median price of residential properties was down 3.5% from a year earlier.
