There are medical conditions that tend one toward obesity or at least overweight. I have 3 such conditions myself!

My bad, I should have said morbid obesity; and I'm actually referring to the patients who have a BMI over 45 or 50. These are not people like you who walk 6 miles or control what they eat.

There are personality types that lead one to abuse tobacco, drugs, and alcohol. Luckily I didn't inherit those genes, but my other brother did. As for speeding, there are genetic predispositions to risky, reckless behavior. One of them is bipolar disorder.

If being morbidly obese, drinking yourself to death, or not controlling your blood sugar as a diabetic is a genetic disorder, then why isn't an anti-vax mentality also a genetic condition?

I agree with you that the anti-vax rationale a is ridiculous argument for personal freedom. I wonder how anti-vaxx'ers explain laws against drunk driving?
