I read the original post and was going to reply right away with the same response, then I saw this. I agree 100%, and I would advise the original poster to perform the actions that Watty56 listed. And stay away from such offers, even the legitimate ones are at best annoying - which is something most people are looking to avoid on a vacation.

Regarding 200K FF miles and $1500. The 200K will probably go farther than the $1500. It's amazing how fast money goes on vacations. Depending when/where you want to go and what credit card you have, you could use the miles in a number of ways to supplement your trip.
