This happened a number of months ago. There was a public and customer outcry that Robinhood had not done enough to educate and warn young investors of the risks involved. Apparently there was an error or misunderstanding that led the young man to think he owed an unspeakable amount of money when in fact he did not. The belief is this is what led to his taking his life. Robinhood responded by promising changes, but as I do not use the platform, I don't know any details of what it was like before or since that promise.
